Dr Brumit is a Clinical Adjunct Instructor at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio Dental School, Department of Comprehensive Dentistry. She is a member of the Bexar County Forensic Dental Team, the DMORT Region VI team, and served as a member of the WTC Dental Identification team in New York. She was also deployed as part of the Dental Identification Team following Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Brumit serves as Co-Director of the Southwest Symposium. She is a consultant to the National Dental Image Repository Review Panel of the FBI, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office, the Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), Child Protective Services and Kenyon Worldwide Disaster Management Specialists.
Dr. Brumit is a graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry. She has been in private practice in Texas since 1984. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Odontology where she also serves on the Board of Directors. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and also serves as an officer in the Odontology Section of the Academy. She is a member of the American Society of Forensic Odontology and has served on the Board of Governors as Treasurer of that organization. She is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Orthodontic Society.
